What is the problem? Can you help me?
The problem is that you need to be using a database, not a spreadsheet.
BASE is the component in OOo to use as the database front end. Use
SQLite as the database engine.

I don't think that that is the problem, because OOo 3.x Calc supports 1024 columns, see http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/FAQ/Calc/Miscellaneous/What%27s_the_maximum_number_of_rows_and_cells_for_a_spreadsheet_file%3F
