Hello there,

Has anyone looked at novice programming misconceptions in Java (or in object-oriented languages generally), similar to the misconception/bug work that was done with Pascal and Prolog way back when?

I am hoping to do some work on individual differences in reasoning, and I would like to focus on how novices understand programs, and/or translate from real world specifications to code. Firstly though, I need to catch up on the latest literature, so if you have any relevant pointers, I'd be much obliged!

Thanks,
Judith
