Hello again!
Has anyone done any studies which look at the comprehension of pseudocode (more recently than the ones which compared them to structured flowcharts...)?
Some work is being done in the field of logic which looks at how people interpret things like syllogisms, where researchers are uncovering systematic differences in reasoning. I would like to do something similar in the area of programming and feel that pseudocode would be more analogous to a logic problem described in (a restricted form of) natural language than would a specific programming language.
Thanks, Judith
