Hi to everyone on this list! I'm excited to have found this group, and
am looking forward to interacting with you.
By way of introduction: After 15 years of professional programming,
which included 8 years of teaching computer science at the college level
at night, I moved to State College, Pennsylvania, USA, home of Penn
State University where I have been teaching computer science full time
and pursuing a doctorate in education in adult education. I am
currently working on my dissertation on teaching programming via
distance education. I also have a moderately strong background in
educational psychology and artificial intelligence.
Anyone with any interest and/or resources on the distance education of
programmers please contact me!
I'm glad to find that I am not the only one interested in the topic of
the psychology of computer programming, and hope to be able to meet some
of you at upcoming conferences, etc.
