Chris's notes led me to think of non-programming parallels from other
domains where you're managing a complex document structure.

(And Cris, please could I have an example or three for a paper I'm doing
with Chris Roast and Marian Petre on cognitive dimensions in everyday
life? It's such a beautiful example of secondary notation.)

And the 'bookmark' feature is very similar to the markers used in
editing long sound files. I only have slight experience of this and
would welocme any comments from people with lots more experience.
