You might want to look at the code for the existing connectors to see what's involved.

In my head's view of Restlet I'd create a subclass of Call, stuff it with the necessary information (client info, resource path, etc.), and send it into the Restlet server where it would trigger the same filters, components, etc. as if the same information came in over HTTP.
