Bethany,

I intend to interrupt my ever-so-busy social and business schedules to make
a trip to SYN/HAK in the very near future.

If the weather is good, I will venture out on Saturday to visit the Akron
Mini Maker Fair in the afternoon and SYN/HAK in the evening. I won't be
able to stay at S/H very late since I must catch the AkronMetro Bus #1 at
8.30pm or 9.50pm for the trip back to Fairlawn.

Will there be refreshments available? How about cheeseburgers? Dancing
girls too?

On the subject of Element 14, I have good intentions to buy a 2nd
generation R'Pi and try to make something useful with it. The one that I
am going to buy is the MODEL B - 8GB SDCard W/ NOOBS PRE-INSTALLED at $40.
(
http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=04X5042&COM=raspi-group).
I must improve on my meager coding skills too. As soon as I can find
somebody to over-bill on an eBay or Craigslist sale, I will splurge for the
item and start experimenting. I am hoping to find others at SYN/HAK with
experience in building out the R'Pi and creating unique programs to solve
problems or deal with a specific situation.

Looking forward to meeting you and others that I have encountered in the
discuss@synhak.org email threads this week.

Philip
