A pal and I made one from a modified angle grinder and a drafting table for
the cost of a case of beer.
Drafting tables are getting harder to find these days, and it wasn't the
quickest, had the power, while still being able to cut shapes instead of
only straight lines.  Also it can be made flat for shapes in smaller stock
& detail work, and is just generally something I would like to build at the
space.

Step1: find a used drafting table
I can build/buy everything else.

Unless someone knows where to find a drafting table, then I agree a kit is
a viable option.  we're not short on circ saws either :)
