<cfdump var="#tempNote#">
when you execute the page you will see what cfdump does... it basically dumps (or outputs) all the contents of tempNote...
it looks like you are going to need to figure out what "tobj" is so that you can figure out what tempNote is...
I found this:
<cfset tempNote = tobj.getItemAt(javacast("int",i)) >
Don't know how to <cfdump> yet.
Does this help? Still does not make sence.

you should look for something on the page that is creating the "Note" object...
try dumping the object:
<cfdump var="#Note#">
it may say what it is an instance of... or give you some clues...
