Well yea, but I'm still curious where they got the info of a few of the
members on the list. Granted, there's several ways that are perfectly legit.
You could easily just subscribe to the list and take note of the people who
post and get their emails/phone number from that or to look at the archive
of the list posts.

But at the same time, if these recruiters want to advertise with the group
there are methods setup for that. It's important to note, the purpose of the
list is to not spam these people with emails or phone calls. If you wish to
recruit or post job offerings, the jobs list is there for that. You can also
sponsor a meeting.

I just want to stop this before it gets too out of hand.

Subject: Re: [ACFUG Discuss] Potential Pseudo Employer Phishers

Its not a foreign call, its from Skype or a PBX that has been programmed to
send out bad CallerID information. And this is not uncommon at all, back
when I worked in an office I got recruiter calls all the time. I still get
them occasionally. In other words, stop stressing.
