בבתי משפט.
יש לך מקור לזה חוץ מפי השמועה?
יש מקרים שבו השאלה אם השימוש מכוסה על ידי Fair Use מגיעה לשימועים וגם
למשפטים.

Lots of text with three links about the copyright status of "Happy
Birthday", a fact which I did not challenge, but nothing about the story
about that documentary film. The author of one of those links also writes:
" P.D.Q. Bach, the "Weird Al" Yankovic of the classical-music world,
avoided using any strains of "Happy Birthday to You" in a birthday ode
to his father because he was afraid of being sued."
I guess he doesn't know that PDQ Bach isn't a real person, and that all
his music was written by his "discoverer" Prof. Shickele. So obviously,
PDQ Bach did no such thing. And anyone who takes Prof. Shickele's
introductory text to his PDQ Bach performances seriously ("what's wrong
with selling commercial space in a musical piece?") simply doesn't get
it. This casts serious doubts over the general level of his fact
checking abilities.
In case my question wasn't clear, do you have any citations for the case
of such a documentary movie.

Did it even reach trial?
The site mentioned in that letter is still up, btw. So maybe that's an
example of how the little guy wins.
And I tried to search their database for Happy Birthday, got nothing.
Maybe you can tell what's the right search to make.
