There's been a lot of discussion on this in the past, I would recommend 
looking in the archives if you no longer have the messages.

In a nutshell, Fabrizio tackled more things by completely changing the CSS 
structure and display of the tag. This is very nice, but presents upgrade 
problems for existing users who expect a plug-and-play upgrade.

My tag has a simpler structure and sticks to the existing CSS structure so 
that there is a seamless upgrade path. It also adheres closer to the 
Model-View-Controller pattern that I was aiming for by providing a simple 
extension mechanism for customizable views of the data.

Both tags can do the same things as proven by the examples provided. So 
functionality shouldn't be a deciding factor. More important things to 
consider are overall structure, design, complexity, and extendability.
