No problems with linux/i386 -> solaris/sparc cross-gcc :)
Similar report here: linux/x86 (both intel and athlon) to mswindows (using mingw cross compiler) all the time with distcc.
That's a good case, since there are open-source collections of Windows API headers; you don't need to copy anything from the target when building that toolchain.
BTW where do you get your linux->mingw toolchain?
