Yeah, 'relying party' was good, but as Ben pointed out (and Peter
supported) that it didn't really cover the case of a party providing
the user with some identity information, either an attribute value
assertion or a digitally signed claim. A 'relying party', by the
Identity
Gang lexicon is a consumer rather than a producer of identity
information. They use the term 'claimant' for something that
creates claims.... I don't really like that very much, so wrote
'authoritative source' instead. Hopefully that explains why I'm
proposing that change.
