Sure, I got it resolved, but what about others in the future? Unless there's folks from Logitech monitoring the situation here they might not be able to get help. I had to go through someone I know at Logitech to get this fixed in a roundabout manner.
The MAC address spoofing is risky of course, but there might be something to it. What would have happened had I altered my MAC, then updated the firmware, then reverted the MAC to its original setting? Also, if someone is strictly using LMS for their Squeezebox, like I am, does it even matter what the MAC is? If Logitech tech support is really not going to help people out with these boxes it'd be nice to find a workaround. I don't know about y'all, but I really like the Squeezebox system, and now that Logitech isn't making these anymore I'm considering buying more so I can set up more rooms in the future and/or have backups. If Turnkey stops using Squeezeboxes there could be a bunch of these in the used market. BTW, I heard back from the seller on ebay. They were selling this on behalf of a friend who owns some restaurants and had switched to a new music service. They sold two others to someone else, but they have not heard back from that buyer yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ KeithLM's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95025 _______________________________________________ diy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/diy
