Well, at least your right that it is not (only) a firefox problem.
Regardless of what browser I use or what settings I have set, here at
work behind a firewall, all HTTP_REFERER headers are striped. If any
app requires that header, I can't use it and there is nothing I can do
about it, except wait till I get home. As I expect is the case with
many, I just don't bother trying later if it didn't work the first
time.
