@loic84 I agree that deprecation/removal of `Manager` proxy methods
shouldn't block this ticket and discussion should be moved to another
ticket once we manage to come up with a solution for this one.
We should play safe and avoid messing with `Manager`'s MRO too much in the
1.6 release.
Lets see if #15363 behaves correctly first to avoid flooding users with
deprecation warnings all over the place.
