I'm inclined to say no. Even if we made it a "pending deprecation"
warning, which would be quiet by default, it would be competing for
attention with warnings that we really want people to pay attention to. If
we don't have a clear plan for making the decorator go away, I'd say it's
not worth raising the warning.
