I -need- MSSQL in the same sense that I -need- computers at all. Strictly speaking, I don't. But it's very useful. I "need" it because I have a few hundred thousand customers using an application built to use it, and any budget to change that app to use a different DB would be to change it to Oracle. Why? Well, because "we're an oracle shop". And because I have a friend that runs an ISP with customer code using MSSQL.
