These are all great posts! I'll tell you from experience - there are two main concerns with most large companies and web app development:
1. Can I hire people off the street who know product X? 2. How fast can I develop apps with product X? Python and Django should be easy to pick up for competent developers, so I'll leave those sales pitches to others who might want to endeavor on that exercise.
