Thanks for writing back. We've been especially concentrating recently
on robust behavior for multi-threading, and adding the more recent
Linux system calls (epoll, eventft, signalfd, inotify). The last
part is still in progress.
There is one long shot that you might want to try. The DMTCP svn (trunk)
ow uses a DMTCP module for PID virtualization that _might_ possibly fix
your problem, but probably not, since we haven't tested for this case. :-(
Is it easy for you to provide us with a small program that
uses the fork system call and fails to migrate from 2.6.32 to 2.6.9?
If you could provide that to us, I strongly suspect we can at least get
beyond this issue of the fork system call. Then we can look together
if there are other issues in heterogeneous process migration for your code.
