Oh. Wouldn't that cost me a fortune? And about the subgroups, the 1604 machine also has subgroup insert, even the CR1604 (non-VLZ). That is one nice feature, right now I am using two mono channels as return from the subgroup effect chain (Air FX + compressor). And I neeed that effect chain on the subgroups, that is what I use most on the mixer in terms of routing.
The airy enhancer thingy sounds very nice too, but that makes me wonder what price range we are talking about... I am open to buying used gear, but in Sweden all Mackie gear seems to be more expensive than in the US (of course) and also in other countries (for some reason). - Janne [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.groundmotion.com/ .--------------------------------. | "Faber quisque fortunae suae." | '--------------------------------' dj daze wrote: > and if you can really stretch it, go for the 24:4 vlz. > > only about 200 more for 8 extra channels, sub-group inserts > [the main reason i got one - very handy] and that "air" > exciter thingy on each sub group. > > dj daze > > advisory / armageddon recordings > http://stage.vitaminic.co.uk/dj_daze > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Brent Babb" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2002 8:54 AM > Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Mackie 1604 and Soundcraft FX16 > > > i have the CR and at work i use the VLZ. the VLZ has a lot more versatile > > routing options (4 subgroups), 16 XLR inputs, 4 band EQ, tape inputs, and > > probably some other stuff i can't remember. > > if you have the cash, go for the VLZ. > > peace --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
