Yes! That drives me crazy, no pun intended. I use a Quantum Fireball inside my A3000. I used to get that all the time. Files would spontaneuosly corrupt. It was very frustrating. The way I solved the problem - I reformatted the drive. I hooked up an external SCSI Jaz drive and formatted a jaz disk to backup my samples and programs before reformatting. Make sure you have enough partitions so as not to exceed the maximum partition size. Once you reformat, try to only mount the drive when necessary for loading/saving. Especially when do sample dumps. I found that it occured more often when "Bulk Protect" was turned off, and during sample transfers. By using these habits, I seem to have minimized the problem. I hope this helps.
