so going with an athlon xp based system... what particular motherboard would you go with?  i'm getting brands like ECS, PC Chips, and Biostar... but within that, k7ama, k7s5a, 830lr... i don't mean to sound like an idiot, but what's the  difference between them?  for the list, what do most of you use?  those with athlon systems, any problems?  die-hard intel fans, why?  mac users, need not reply  :)

 well i would suggest an Athlon XP based system, theres this company that makes DAWz and they don't even bother with intel because after the P3'z intell had a lack luster performance with floatation point numbers
