1) if your turntable mixer has inserts for the mic channel, you could be really ghetto and use a $30 guitar pedal, since you'll be powering the mic already.
2) if your turntable mixer doesn't have inserts, you'll have to get a proper effects unit that'll act as a preamp as well, i think. i haven't been able to find one, so you might have to look into a separate preamp (Art tube MP mic preamp http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=020523182444209215029195525615/searc h/g=rec/detail/base_id/35421 $80 at musiciansfriend.com) and then getting an effects processor, since the effects processor won't be able to get a signal from the mic on its own. 3) i'm sure that any turntable mixer with echo/delay on the mic channel will have tons of other features on the rest of the mixer, making it insanely expensive (if that's what you meant by "mixers that are able to do this" as "on their own"... if not, any mixer's capable of taking in an already pre-amplified mic signal with effects on it and playing it) hope it helps, i don't think it's gonna come out expensive, but not too cheap either :( joe -----Original Message----- From: Jon O' Connor [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 8:46 PM To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: FX I need an FX unit but only require an echo which will be used on a microphone.
