Check out the Isotope Ozone Mastering Plugin as it allows you to set the
stereo width of four different frequency ranges (which can be adjusted).
You can set the bass frequencies to mono, whilst leaving everything else
stereo, or add some additional stereo width to the top end for example.

Subject: [dnb-prod] Freq. cutoff for mono bass?

For a long time I was using the mixer in Cubase 5.1 to set bass and kick
parts to mono only but in SX it seems you can't do this for stereo
VSTis...

If I export the channel I can set it to whatever I like in Sound forge
etc. but what's the best way to set a crossover point for a mixed down
break for example?

ie.. You have a break in stereo with a bass heavy kick but you want the
bass frequencies in Mono...

I did this before a long time ago in Sound forge but the results were
REALLY bad!

Anyone give me any advice? What sort of frequency should I be using as a
crossover point for the Mono/Stereo frequency ranges?

cheers,

Nick
