how do you mean the term layered in this situation...especially
in reference to the snare?  you mean arrange it so that it fits
in better and not clutter so much... i'm trying to walk a fine
line btwn layering lots of melodic content with the different
instruments but not making them clash too much...i want
a bit of melodic mayhem but i've made sure that my melodic
content is in key as much as possible so that the overlapping
harmonies with everything don't cause some free jazz freakout
harmolodics thing...
