just a point of that. ive got some great tunes build up in my head but the obvious problem is getting them made..using software alone cos im on a budget.

im no good at working tunes out on a piano roll with vst plugins..can i do by editing samples alone like high contrast..if so how..sound forge has options..but theres only so much u can do with a sound

veritas

Its good training in making your synths and sampler work in tune with your ideas rather than letting your equipment dictate the kind of tunes you make. A bit like making the move from sound presets to editing your own sounds and knowing how to get to a sound you have in your head (this point in time makes saving for studio gear and learning how to use it all worthwhile).
