I paid �800 for one four and a half years ago, and never looked back.
...until I started using Cubase SX with it's piss-poor MIDI timing, which means all my outboard is now pretty much redundant. My Promix is now basically a fancy volume control for my PC :( Fantastic mixer though, really lovely!!!
