I am looking at moving into pc-based recording and was wondering what soundcards people would recommend. I want to be able to record my band studio-style and was wondering whether to get a hardware mixer or a better soundcard and run a virtual mixer (protools style, but cheaper). Also, if anyone runs a carillon system could you send me your specs? I'd be interested to know how they perform. Cheers.
