[dnb-prod] Sound cards

I'm in the market for a new sound card, because for the past year I've been running on a SB Live shitty factory card. I have about 400 dollars to spend which would you recommend? I was thinking about a Audigy Ex II Platinum but I heard it gets bogged down real easy.
