nice coincidence...my dad's the artist too... too bad he doesn't do it more regularly.
i think the programming music let you put your musical mind to work without the hectic thing of playing an instrument regularly. it's a whole another beast. so you can imagine the madness having to make the whole damn tune AND then having to play all the guitars and sing vocals. but i've got a cool fem singer now so i don't have to deal with the vocals...cos i'm not really a singer. decent is as far as i've gotten. now that i've got the midi setup going, i finally can get back to composing the tunes more musically instead of manually having to input each damn note with a mouse. i don't know why i didn't get myself midi'd up a year ago.... i guess i thought it was much more complicated than it was. my thing with dnb happened with konflict's "the beckoning" - when that track starts absolutely blasting... it gave me the same intense rush that the verve parts on jane's addiction's' Stop... wicked stuff... pv ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Abang" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > My mom and dad are both artists - my mom specializes in pen and ink, and > focuses on african wildlife... my dad can draw anything... he's a fucking > brilliant artist... he's an architect now... i'm an artist too... but i > don't do much with it lately.. music has almost all my attention. > > I played guitar for about 7 or 8 years, I kinda just fell off it cause I > couldn't come up with my own shit. like EVER.
