Maybe the bottom line is that a good mix down of a good tune is required, however mastering is a personal preference. I also think that a bad master of a good mix down and a good tune would make the finished product less marketable. I've heard stories of people who buy in dnb for shops sending back certain vinyl's coz the master / cut is terrible !!!
