Its a good point, I just finished a tune that I had spent a while on mixing down on the desk and checking on other systems via test minidiscs and once I had recorded it to the PC, all i did was normalise it to just under 0db before burning to CDr and it doesn't sound any worse than previous stuff where I had used T Racks etc.
If the mix is definitely right then you can often leave it there unless you are pushing for totally anal glassy perfection, Dan -----Original Message----- From: Milo Johnson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 20 August 2003 12:06 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] Re: Mastering No one's mentioned T-Racks - that's pretty good too. Mind you, I just spent a long weekend with Noisia (some Dutch producers who've just signed to Nerve & Protogen) and they don't use any mastering tools at all. You can't polish a turd.
