Essentially anywhere where it is executed upon X session start. E.g. ~/.xsessionrc (that's where I like to have it), or even in your .bashrc (if that is sourced by your DE's startup sequence!). Or you make a tiny script and hook that up to your DE's autostart mechanism. Or you open up an xterm after logging in and type it manually (not very convenient, I guess ;-). It all depends a bit on the desktop environment you use, and your personal preferences for setting things up. Heck, you could even be bold and put it in a script in /etc/X11/Xsession.d, thereby making it load for any user logging into any session.
