I believe that this should be adopted - having consistent and well
agreed to terminology is important and helpful. I'm also glad that
there are people willing to do this - I can think of few things more
annoying to write than a terminology document...

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad
idea in the first place.
This is like putting rabid weasels in your pants, and later expressing
regret at having chosen those particular rabid weasels and that pair
