I fail to see why DS would be a part of this topic.

Suggest the following redrafting to make explicit what it is and why it is
needed:

  "Glue is the set of non-authoritative A/AAAA records in a zone
  that are transmitted in the additional section of a referral response
  on the basis that these might be necessary for a resolver to reach
  the target name servers."
