I went quickly through the specs to see what your email was about. I
also read the email. I am not saying that the email was not clear.
From my perspective, there are a number of mature technical
organizations (like the IETF and W3C) each with their own preferred
document formats. The relative pros and cons of document formats
are quite minor - it's the content that matters. Converting between
document formats is time-consuming, for little benefit. I could
have an AI agent do this conversion, of course, but I don't think
that would generate much benefit either.
My suggestion was not related to document formats. In my opinion, it
would be (relatively) easier to get a working group to settle on a
decision if there is an Internet-Draft to discuss the idea (in this
case, it was about "using DNS to let IDPs indicate where the
well-known data lives") or get the working group's view.
