Checked out & compiled the code from bzr using Rev 513, which I assume is the same version as the .dll you provided. With that code the problem is fixed and all works (tested shutdown, suspend & restart). As I'm using Mono pre 2.0 (1.9.1), maybe one of the folks running Mono > 2 can confirm if it's fixed for them as well.
