Has anyone seen reports on the use of Blackberries in U.S. House congressional campaigns? I understand that post-Sept 11 the use of the Blackberry RIM for wireless e-mail really took off in the U.S. House. <http://www.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/01/10/11/011011hncongress.xm l> It seems only logical that such devices will find their way into the command and control operations of incumbent House political campaigns. What about the use of SMS for those in text messaging mobile phone by campaigns? While the Labour Party in the UK is using it for slogan campaigns <http://www.europemedia.net/shownews.asp?ArticleID=1651>, has anyone studied structured behind the scenes uses? What about handheld content? For many senators, this mobile solution has removed the need to print and carry around large, awkward binders of printed material that many be out of date within days. Senators are saving thousands of dollars on printing costs per session.
