Salam, first of all good work man!
1.for every verb have the present progressive form you use: "jari masdar blabla". that's standard throughout the whole gnome pos. As this form is VERY wide-spread in the apps. 2.Yep indeed, function names come in the pos because of debugging output that will be shown. Normally debugging output is only shown when a developer asks for by using gdb or equivalent apps. So don't translate it. 3.mmmm, invalid means itself nothing it simply means, that the system can't process the Data. The Data itself can be corrupted, so in this case it is not only "not nidhami" but "talifa" so for the sake of not irritating the user with too technical strings. A simple string warning him that something is going wrong would be more user-friendly in this case as, as said, the amount of possible errors is huge. So it's safer to guide the user here with simple strings. 4.This is simple, I would say if it is a user-visible application name translitarate it. Never rename. At the beginning I renamed some apps but then I was against it, you cannot rename "suzuki" to samakat "ittrilia" or Mozilla to "ghoul" etc... So only transliterate. And only the user visible apps and well-known ones. 5.Yep stick too "biiber". THe translations have to be user-friendly NEVER ever forget this. As the maintainer one of the things I kept repeating every time and which is really very important for me: The user is the KING. Not me not you. Don't irritate the user. This could make our translation look silly as other translations do. 7.yep good one. 8.heh. I would also use laqab. 9 mmm, the problem is not there how you would you translate formatting a file into the bmp format? I want a discussion around this... 10.3ishrun, there are but my sister wants the DSL line NOW ;) 11.I know aobut it but don't use it simply becasue the sentnce because very heavy with that word. Try and see... 12. mutaghair for argument. Well I read the whole mail with my sister on my neck ;) And I answered it heh ;D yours Arafat _______________________________________________ Doc mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.arabeyes.org/mailman/listinfo/doc
