I've given this some thought, and I think here is
where we have a chance to be innovative. There is no
reason why we can't use both terms.
I think "صيغة" is best used with relation to
software or visual elements, such as "date format",
"time format" etc..., and we can use "نسق" for
hardware related terms, such as "filesystem format".
Thats just my 2 cents. I hope someone can come up with
a better idea.
