Just tried again with 4.5 - same result.  Nested sets are not supported in 4.5 or 5.0.  Will submit modified bug report.

Also a requested feature - <set> should allow <xi:include>

I think the stylesheets have not been updated to support nested sets yet.  Can you please file a bug report on the SourceForge site for this problem, and upload your test files?  Thanks.
