I agree, but with a style applied to the button to make it a little
smaler (more discreet).

Personally I think a submit button is essential.

:: however, _if_ we decide to go with a search widget (in
:: whatever version) that have the same look & feel as the
:: prev|next widget i suggest we use a download widget in the
:: same style, something in the vein of the attached crude screenshot.

The screenshot looks great Allan.  I love the fact that you've chosen
consistency for the various elements along the top.
