I like the way Per Einar presented the sites running mod_perl.
I agree with Thomas, that it's probably better to make only the titles bold (not the names and company names). Always have a minimal use of bold for the better effect.
It's a tough call how to merge success stories and sites running mod_perl. Unless you have better ideas, I suggest that we
1) present first Per Einar's rewrite of sites running mod_perl. So it gives an idea how mod_perl can be used. This page should be maintained actively, so the dead sites are removed and replaced with new ones. We probably have more than one site for each of the categories designed by Per Einar. So we should present just a few in each category.
2) present second the list of long stories, so people can read the success stories, in no particular order. These are just testimonies, so I don't think there is a need for some order here.
3) present third the rest of the sites running mod_perl, since people will continue reporting: "my service is running mod_perl" and we should include that info. That's the raw material for perfecting item (1) and those interested can still read these references as well.
Agreed. I'll cut down on the bold, and try to organize these things a little more, then submit it.
