I'm familiar with that post but if you read it more attentively (with the
comments) you'll realize that it very much depends on the query you're
producing. Anyway, since I didn't expect SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS optimization
to be added to Doctrine, it was meant more as a provocation :)
However, there should not be 3 queries there.
I'm actually gonna stop using the pager due to its faults.
