I have here my primary DNS for about 350 zones, that I would like to move to another server. But I'll have to change it's IP.
In the old days of NSI, I would have submited a host modification request. But now, what do I do ? Do i only change the IP in my DNS so that ns.somedomain.com point to the new ip ?
Each registrar has a function that is the equivalent of the old NSI host modification command. Name servers definitely do still need to be updated at the registry.
With OpenSRS, you do this by logging into the manage control panel, clicking "Name Servers", then clicking "If you want to create or modify a nameserver which is based on <domain name> click here" at the bottom of the screen.
The resulting screen lets you change the IP address of a registered nameserver host.

If my host is .ca for example, will I have to do something for other registries (.com et al). Do I have to "add" again this name server to foreign registries.
