Have to say that PHP5 is a pain for us as well. But I wouldn't want Tucows developing a new platform, and hobbling themselves with older technology. I'm always reminded of the story about X11, and the folks scoffing at those weird people at MIT who were coding a graphics interfaces for when everyone had a 16MB desktop computer, never happen they said. In 6 months PHP5 will be normal, and we'll probably be moaning the old client code doesn't run nicely under Perl 6.
