Hi;

Normally the registry synchs/updates around this time of day.

But, would you send me the name (off list) and I will see if there is any
other kookiness with NSI that may be preventing this name from transferring.

Thanks.

Subject: [domains-gen] whois updates

Hello

I know from past experience that we cannot transfer a domain in unless the
verisign whois shows the domain as not being locked. But how often does that
whois get updated?

We have a customer whose domain is registered through NetSlo and expired on
Oct. 1st. The email address was invalid etc. etc.

We have now managed to finally get the email address changed and the domain
updated / unlocked through NetSlo's system.

Now, the whois at NetSlo (the changes were made this morning) shows "record
last updated Oct. 18", and the Versign whois shows "record last updated Oct
7".

Does it take 11 days (or more) for the changes to get to the registry, in
addition to whatever time it takes NetSlo to update theirs?

I am afraid if this takes much longer, the name will be lost. The customer
does not wish to renew with NetSlo because this whole process has been so
painful (not to mention the cost).

Any ideas?

Thanks
