Got this from a customer today and thought some of you might be interested:
I was just contacted by telephone by a person representing [name of company removed] -- gave the name of xxxx. He wanted my fax number to send information about issues with the domain registration for "xxxxxxx.com". I did not give him a phone number, but asked that the important information be emailed to me -- seemed appropriate! <br> <br>He said the info was "time sensitive" and asked that I call an 800 number and ask for Customer Service to hear of issues regarding my domain registration. Before I do that, I want verification that this is legitimate and necesssary, and why an email would not suffice. The number he gave me is 1-800-xxx-xxx.
